ABOUT SFMA
The Social-First Markets Alliance (SFMA) is an industry knowledge and collaboration initiative founded by YouNet Group.
SFMA brings together senior leaders and practitioners across Southeast Asia to explore how Social-First Markets operate, and how this is changing marketing and commerce in the region.
SFMA is not a membership association and it is not an honorary council.
It is a working Council.
Members are expected to contribute to discussions, challenge assumptions, share evidence and market experience, and help build a stronger body of knowledge for the industry.
ABOUT THE ROLE
SFMA is looking for an Operations Director to run the Founding Council and support the regional operations of the BSI Awards.
This is a central operating role behind SFMA.
You will help make the Council work day to day - from Council meetings, member coordination and knowledge management to events, judging logistics and awards operations.
You will not determine the Council’s research conclusions.
You will not decide who wins an award.
Your responsibility is to make sure the system is well organized, on schedule, properly documented and traceable.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Council Operations

- Organize Online Working Sessions every two months and Offline Events every six months, including internal working sessions and conferences.
- Coordinate calendars, agendas, logistics, documentation and pre-read materials.
- Maintain Meeting Notes, Decision Records and Action Items.
- Operates the SFMA Council Wiki as the institutional memory of the Alliance.
- Track Council Member invitations, onboarding and participation.
- Maintain governance records and required relationship disclosures.
Awards & Event Operations

- Support the BSI Awards submission cycle across regional markets.
- Manage timelines, submission records and communication with entrants and agencies.
- Coordinate Jury logistics and judging sessions.
- Collect conflict-of-interest disclosures according to the established process.
- Support the organization of judging events and award ceremonies.
REQUIREMENTS

- Are highly organized and able to manage multiple stakeholders, workstreams and deadlines at the same time.
- Care about documentation and can clearly distinguish between discussion, decision and action.
- Are comfortable using Confluence, Notion or similar knowledge and project management tools.
- Communicate and write well in English.
- Are comfortable and professional when working with and following up with senior executives across the region.
- Have experience in event operations, awards programs or regional program management - an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Understand marketing, media, social commerce or e-commerce - useful, but not required.
WHAT YOU WILL NOT DO

- You will not independently determine Council conclusions or definitions.
- You will not participate in judging or decide award outcomes.
- You will not be the primary spokesperson for SFMA.
- This is an operations role, not a research role and not a judging role.
