ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Social Insight Specialist to join with us.This role is built around applied research: turning social and digital data into insight that creates real business impact for our clients and member companies. Your work will sit at the center of three areas:
- Research & Insight Generation: Conduct desk research and social listening data research across brand, category, and market topics, combining multiple data sources to meaningful insight which can create business impact for our clients‘ marketing and sales efforts.
- Member Company Support: Support YouNet Group‘s companies, including YouNet Social, YouNet Media, Buzzmetrics, Mango Digital, YouNet AM, YouNet ECI, and Fanscom - in applying our data platforms, AI technology, new methodologies and products.
- Innovation Contribution: Take part in projects that build new tools, dashboards, or research methods - as assigned directly by the YouNet Group‘s Board of Directors.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Desk Research & Social Listening Data Research (60%)
- Conduct desk research on categories, markets, competitors, and consumer behavior to support both ongoing and ad-hoc research needs.
- Use in-house social listening tools to collect brand, category, and campaign data, combining with other data sources (e.g., e-commerce, survey data) where relevant.
- Process, clean, and classify data - including using AI tools to support data classification - while ensuring accuracy and data quality.
- Build and hand over structured documentation of desk research findings, AI prompting workflows, and data classification logic to the production team once each research phase is completed, ensuring continuity and reusability for future work.
Insight Reporting & In-depth Analysis (20%)
- Analyze discussion trends, audience behavior, and brand activities to identify opportunities or risks.
- Turn data into in-depth reports (category reports, trend reports, ad-hoc analyses) with clear structure and practical recommendations.
- Apply data storytelling and visualization to make insight easy to understand and act on for internal and client stakeholders.
Product, Method & Innovation Support (20%)
- Contribute to projects that build or improve internal tools, dashboards, or software.
- Help test and apply new research methods and approaches.
- Explore how AI and new technology can be applied to improve research quality and internal operations.
- Provide occasional marketing support for new product or service launches - e.g., turning research and data into ready-to-use materials for marketing campaigns, or contributing input for content and social posts - as an ad-hoc extension of the team‘s research work.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or related fields from a well-recognized university.
Knowledge
- Strong marketing foundation, with solid understanding of consumer/social behavior across brand, campaign, and social media contexts.
- Familiarity with market research methodologies, especially desk research and social/digital data analysis.
- Basic understanding of Generative AI and its application in research.
Skill
- Data analytics: basic statistics (mean, growth rate, ranking logic) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data cleaning).
- Data storytelling and visualization, with the ability to design clear, well-structured, presentation-ready slides that communicate insight persuasively (PowerPoint; BI tools are a plus).
- Ability to translate data into actionable insight for marketing purposes.
- Tech-savvy mindset: comfortable working with AI tools, APIs, or new platforms for research or automation.
- Basic content writing skills, with the ability to turn research/data into simple marketing materials or social copy when needed for internal or launch-related requests.
Experience
- At least 1-2 years of experience in marketing, data research, or planning, ideally in a digital creative agency, research firm, or product-driven environment.
- Experience working with social listening platforms (e.g., SocialHeat, Talkwalker, Brandwatch) is an advantage.
